Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus — same molecule, different price

All three are semaglutide. Ozempic is licensed for Type 2 diabetes, Wegovy for obesity at higher doses, Rybelsus is the oral tablet. Cost per month differs sharply, and so does expected weight loss. The right choice depends on your goal, injection tolerance, diabetes status and what your pharmacy can reliably supply.

Plan for the medicine, one consultation, one baseline lab panel and two to three short reviews while the dose is titrated. Skipping the labs and reviews is the false economy — nausea, dehydration and muscle loss are what derail people, and all three are manageable when someone is watching.
