Full lipid profile — with ApoB, ApoA1 and Lp(a) where indicated — with home sample collection across South Delhi and cardiovascular-risk interpretation by Dr. Sanjay Sachdev.
Standard: Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, VLDL, triglycerides. Advanced (indicated for premature CAD, strong family history, or borderline standard results): ApoB, ApoA1, Lp(a), HsCRP, homocysteine. Both bundled at one home visit.
Home sample collection, same-day report
Trained phlebotomist visits your South Delhi home between 6:30 and 8:30 AM after a 12-hour fast. Standard panel reports same day; advanced panel by end of day 1.
Interpretation matters more than the number
LDL of 130 mg/dL in a healthy 30-year-old and in a 55-year-old diabetic with a father's MI at 52 need very different responses. Every panel is read against age, sex, diabetes status, BP, smoking history and family history before any statin is prescribed — or not.
Follow-up on statin therapy
After starting or changing a statin: repeat lipid + LFT at 8–12 weeks. Once at target: every 6–12 months. HsCRP and ApoB where LDL alone isn't telling the full story.

5 answers
Where can I do a lipid profile test near me?+
Home sample collection across Friends Colony, Maharani Bagh, Defence Colony, GK, Lajpat Nagar, Nizamuddin and adjoining South Delhi areas — NABL-accredited, same-day report.
Do I need to fast for a lipid profile?+
12-hour fasting is preferred for triglycerides. Total cholesterol, HDL and LDL can be measured non-fasting, but current Indian and European guidelines still recommend fasting when the full profile is being run.
How much does a lipid profile cost?+
Standard lipid profile (Total, LDL, HDL, VLDL, triglycerides) ₹500–₹800 with home collection. Extended profile (add ApoB, ApoA1, Lp(a)) ₹2,500–₹3,500 — indicated for premature CAD, strong family history or borderline standard results.
What is a healthy LDL cholesterol?+
For low-risk adults: LDL <100 mg/dL. Diabetics, hypertensives and those with a family history of CAD: LDL <70 mg/dL. Known CAD or post-MI: LDL <55 mg/dL. Targets are individualised at consultation.
When should I repeat my lipid profile?+
Normal profile on no medication: every 3–5 years for adults under 40; annually after 40. On statin therapy: 8–12 weeks after starting or dose change, then every 6–12 months once at target.
