The scope of a diabetologist

Diagnosis (fasting glucose, OGTT, HbA1c, antibody testing where Type 1 is suspected), drug selection across metformin, SGLT2 inhibitors, DPP-4 inhibitors, GLP-1 receptor agonists and insulin, and structured complication screening — retina, kidney (urine albumin-creatinine ratio), nerves, feet and cardiovascular risk.
